Choosing wedding planning or day coordination
Planning a wedding and coordinating its timetable on the day are different jobs. Before looking for help, decide whether you need the whole event developed or the work of existing suppliers brought together.
Define the scope before comparing proposals
List what is already arranged: venue, guests, photography, music, decorations and transport. Mark the questions that still need decisions. Discuss which meetings and approvals the planner handles and which remain with the couple. For day coordination, ask when information is handed over and how much preparation time is included. Attendance during the celebration is only part of the role; the work beforehand needs a clear description as well.
Create one shared working plan
Include supplier arrivals, venue access, the ceremony, food service and the main moments of the evening. Name a responsible contact for each part. Agree who can make small adjustments and which decisions require your confirmation. Give suppliers one current contact list. After the final discussion, check that everyone has the same running order rather than different versions of earlier messages scattered across conversations.
